Jonny Alexander (b. 1989, California) is a contemporary painter whose work explores landscape as a symbolic language through which themes of transformation, connection, and belonging can be examined. Drawing from mythology, spirituality, and direct experience of the natural world, Alexander creates atmospheric paintings that blur the boundary between external environments and inner states of being, reflecting an ongoing inquiry into the unseen forces that shape human experience. His paintings often suggest that what is sought externally may already exist within.

Alexander's work has been featured in solo exhibitions Colector Gallery, Monterrey, Mexico (2026) and Swish Projects (2022). His work is included in the permanent collection of the Janet Turner Print Museum and received the museum's Marion Epting Purchase Award. He continues to develop a studio practice centered on the poetic and transformative potential of landscape.
